POSITION SUMMARY The creative content director is the lead for in-venue and social media specialty content creation for Michigan State Athletics; in addition, create, marketing, publicity, highlight and other feature content for Michigan State Athletic properties.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Create and execute creative, trend setting ideas and concepts for in-game presentation including LED boards located at Spartan Stadium, Breslin Center, Munn Ice Arena and Jenison Field
Shoot, edit and composite everything from intro videos, video features, pump up videos and highlights to headshots, 3D/2D animations and graphics
Act as lead motion creator for special content creation for teams
Build creative unit and assets through working with students and full-time staff
Collaborate with multiple internal partners such as marketing, sales, communications and event management
Continue to define the strategy and goals in order to achieve success in engaging fans and moving the Michigan State Athletics brand forward, by bringing energy to the creative process
Contribute to live events by working in or assisting control room operations
Assist in the coverage of teams, when needed
Bachelors degree in digital media or relevant field
Sharp and engaging cinematic shooting
Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Audition), Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook), Project Management Tools
Proficient in 3D software (ex: Cinema4D, Element 3D)
At least 1 year of live event experience
Live Event Software Proficiency (ex: Chyron, Ross)
At least 3 years of previous experience creating video content for a collegiate athletic department, team,agency, production-house or media brand.
Experience working with 4K footage and LUTs.
Ability to handle occasional videography.
Ability to perform under pressure and work on multiple projects at once.
Affinity to working in a team environment and liaise with a variety of stakeholders.
Excellent writing and communication skills
Willingness to work non-standard schedules
Independent self-starter who strives to be the best at all aspects of their job
Team-oriented individual with strong problem solving skills
Previous experience building social media engagement
Previous experience creating team intros and creating content for non-standard dimensions
Experience working with Movi stabilizers
Highly proficient with PC platform and Sony Camera equipment
