The Sales Associate will be responsible for retail and dealer sales cycles of Nostrum High Performance fuel system products (injectors, pumps, and associated parts). This shall include phone/email/social media first contact, prospecting, engagement (qualifying), nurturing, closing, order satisfaction including shipping, and post sales follow-up. The associate will also be responsible for lead management (Zendesk Sell) and engagement with customers on social media, email, phone, and website inquiries. As part of order satisfaction, the associate will be responsible for finished goods pack-out and working with operations team members to define product forecasts (production). The associate shall also support the Sales & Marketing Team and Finance Specialist with product planning, pricing, dealer management, and marketing. Responsibilities and compensation may vary depending on experience and employment status.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Sales Responsibilities:
- Engage directly with customers to explore and learn about them (phone, email, social media, in-person)
- Responding to all inquiries through social media, email, telephone, and website requests
- Prospecting leads to identify potential customers, lead capture, investigation
- Nurture potential customers and dealers from “lead” to “sale”, seek engineering and technical support as needed (engage team members as needed to build customer confidence)
- Close with customers and dealers with pricing, invoicing, and transaction
- Complete order satisfaction from inventory picking through pack to ready to ship (pick-up by carrier)
- Execute order follow-up with tracking information and support information (instructions, tips, data, etc.) Manage leads through the sales cycle in Zendesk Sell
- Work with Finance Specialist and Sales & Marketing Specialist to define, publish and review pricing
- Support customer engagement at trade shows and events
- Manage store front properties and customer engagement on-site
- Post-Sales Support Responsibilities:
- Receive, manage, and resolve customer support tickets in Zendesk
- Collaborate with engineering for support ticket resolution and long-term countermeasure
- Administer and support the Return Material Authorization process (RMA)
- Follow-up post sales with customers and dealers, satisfaction survey
- Marketing & Strategy Responsibilities:
- Administer and collaborate USP document development, update, and website alignment
- Mine new platform interest and opportunities, participate in product planning
- Administer, mine, and support Sponsorship programs for product development and marketing
- Support Digital Media Specialist with e-marketing materials and letters to targeted audiences
- Support Digital Media Specialist for social media, advertisement, marketing activities
- Education:
- Minimum requirement: GED or Diploma
- Preferred: Associates Degree or equivalent certifications
- Years of Experience: 2
- Qualifications:
- Expertise in sales and sales cycle activities
- Outgoing, friendly, and strong customer engagement skills (phone, written or in person)
- Social media savvy – capable of customer engagement through social media channels
- Experience with lead management tools (Zendesk Sell)
- Fluent in English & strong writing skills, other languages a huge plus
- Availability to travel up to 20% (domestic & international) required
- Candidate must possess valid employment authorization documents for employment in the United States
- Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license, authorized to drive in MI, and must have a clean driving record
