Purpose: Delta College Corporate Services, the region's leader in workforce training, has a team of Business Service Representatives who work out of the Great Lakes Bay Michigan Works! service centers based in Gratiot and Isabella counties with travel throughout Gratiot, Isabella, Bay, Midland and Saginaw counties. The Business Service Representative will work directly with employers and be focused on providing outstanding customer service while promoting services of Great Lakes Bay Michigan Works!
Role: To form relationships with employers in the Great Lakes Bay Region and assist them in a way that makes them more profitable. Primary duty of this role is to serve in a salesforce capacity by establishing relationships and taking orders with businesses in the Great Lakes Bay Region for the purpose of providing employment and business services.

Position Summary: Seeking a full time dynamic team member who enjoys working with business professionals in the Gratiot and Isabella county area. Join our team and work out of the Michigan Works Service Centers in Gratiot and Isabella Counties. Role entails working directly with employers focusing on providing outstanding customer service for their workforce pipeline needs. The ability to travel to employers is required. We provide training, coaching and resources to help ensure you are a success.

Sales:
Provide consultation and information to employers regarding all services available
Conduct presentations/public speaking at events and meetings as assigned
Develop contacts through initial (prospecting) visits to businesses that do not currently use GLBMW! services
Communicate services of other partners to businesses
Take orders and sell services effectively and handle objections
Develop and update Recruitment Resource Package
Develop relationships with Michigan Works! partners to foster referral relationships for Business Services division of GLBMW
Maintain awareness of local business expansions, hiring, and economic trends
Conduct outreach to employers through attendance and/or presentations at job/career fairs, business/agency/civic events, and individual business visits
Maintain professional and effective working relationships with local and regional business and community organizations
Attend business events (i.e. Chamber meetings, VSHRM, job/business fairs, Economic Development meetings)
Manage account territory
Develop employer relationships to lead to repeat business and referrals
Maintain accurate and timely records of employer outreach and activities in Customer Relationship Management system
Communicate/market employer training grant funding opportunities to eligible businesses
Business Customer Service and Relations:
Open Pure Michigan Talent Connect accounts
Troubleshoot accounts
Enter, modify, and deactivate job advertisements
Conduct resume searches and screen resumes per customer specifications
Write job advertisements, offer tips on writing job advertisements for the internet
Provide employer training/technical assistance of Pure Michigan Talent Connect features at businesses
Communicate with Michigan Works Administration and Michigan Economic Development Corporation as appropriate regarding Pure Michigan Talent Connect
Schedule/coordinate Single Company Job Fairs and interview rooms
Maintain knowledge of current job seeker marketplace and provide employers with labor market information
