We currently have a career opening for a Senior Consultant, New Business Development Pharmacy Services.
Position Summary
The Senior Consultant, New Business Development role focuses on selling strategic solutions across all new and current customer bases in the Health System and Physician Office spaces. This involves developing and pressure testing customer strategies in conjunction with Business Development. Additionally, this person will be involved in new business pipeline conversions (in defined service portfolio offerings). The Sr. Consultant will partner with regional sales teams, providing face-to-face interactions with current and prospective customers alike.

Travel:25-50% travel within Ohio, West Virginia, Tennessee, Mississippi.
Responsibilities
Participate in strategy and customer facing presentations for new offers and renegotiations where suitable
Research, test, and suggest business model structures that are mutually beneficial to both the client and Cardinal Health
Ensure that the agreed upon terms are consistent with our capabilities and ability to operate and invoice customers as described
Oversee and participate in the implementation of sales process by developing sales action plans
Responsible for pipeline development, management, and conversion related to the following services: IDS Managed Services, Consignment, Specialty GPO, Atrix Elements, Flu/Vaccine, Leadernet in acute settings, Hero, and Inventory Management Solutions
Apexus contract adjustments in partnership with 340b team
Responsible for growing mindshare around CAH offerings, including biosimilars, as SME
Responsible for attending industry events in support of above offerings
Partner with Business Development, ESD's, Inside Sales, and other business leadership to convert business relevant MBO's
Serve as a subject matter expert in our go to market offering
Responsible for ensuring unique customer needs are met in order to aid in bringing on new business
Responsible for ensuring strategic selling document is created and being utilized in partnership with ESD partners
Qualifications
Advanced professional experience in a sales capacity.
Experience in meeting and managing to meet sales quotas.
Background in Pharmacy or Pharmacy Operations desirable (specifically, competitive strategy, marketing and finance)
Ability to travel nationally
Functional knowledge and understanding of all business processes, operating procedures and business risk associated with managing pharmacy services
What is expected of you and others at this level
Proficient knowledge of Specialty Distribution, PD Distribution, and Hospital Pharmacy Operations
Strong problem-solving capabilities using organizational and analytical skill Excellent knowledge and skills for sales and sales leadership
Ability to understand, analyze and create solutions to deal with complex and undefined issues
Strong business and financial acumen
Excellent presentation, communications and interpersonal skills
Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to conduct briefings with leadership
Possess the ability to establish, retain and capitalize on relationships with customer influencers
