Position Title Contract Management Specialist
Position Summary The contract management specialist will serve as key cross functional support on data contracting operations. The contract management specialist will be responsible for reviewing third party contracts, tracking, standardizing terms and negotiating terms with counterparties. Working with Legal, Sales, Product and third parties to bring such contracts to conclusion in a manner that balances the companies' business objectives against competing risks while maintaining alignment with company policies. The contract management specialist would also assist with related projects to improve existing processes and participate in audit processes as needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
This role is primarily responsible for ensuring that risk and contract compliance requirements are met and maintained with a primary focus on document management, to ensure risk mitigation and compliance.
Collaborate with business to establish transparent and auditable processes for tracking, maintaining and standardizing such contractual agreements.
Oversee contract renewals and terminations, collaborating closely with operations to facilitate product delivery continuation or cessation.
Support day-to-day business operations while engaging in teamwork with legal, sales, product staff and business partners.
Contribute to development of process improvement and work with Legal on improvement of contract templates, playbooks, and guidance documents.
Analyze contract positions that deviate from company's general business standard and escalate risk tolerance questions.
Exercise business judgment and strategize risk mitigation solutions while upholding company's business standards and best practice.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, law, or a related field
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to analyze contractual issues and provide practical solutions
Strong organizational skills and capacity to prioritize projects effectively
Flexibility and the ability to creatively problem-solve
Experience in driving process improvements
Experience with Microsoft Suite of products
Working Conditions : Flexible working conditions. Remote and in person as required (Southfield, MI).
