The Regional Sales Director, Extended Care is responsible for leading a team of 8 Extended Care Sales Reps across 10 states. The Midwest Region Director is tasked with growing our Cardinal Health Brand market share and profitability by hiring, training, and developing employees along with managing high dollar accounts and executing sales strategies for new targets within the region.
Responsibilities
Responsible for driving sales of Cardinal Health Brand medical products including Incontinence, Enteral Feeding, Sharp Safety, Wound care, and others.
Works collaboratively with our Channel Partners and internal stakeholders such as Marketing, Strategic Accounts and other internal functions on current business and new opportunities.
Fosters and supports a culture of effective teamwork, accountability, and development.
Implements and drives a high-performance sales culture by maintaining a consistent and thoughtful pipeline management process, assisting their reps throughout the sales process, and maintaining accountability to their team's performance.
Build and maintain long-term trusted advisor relationships with key decision makers and ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Analyzes customer profiles; creates action plans to maximize customer satisfaction and improve financial results.
Prepare regular reports and analysis for management including business plans, customer correspondence, succession plans, monthly status/variance reports and human resources documentation.
Comply with and implement company policies, programs, and procedures on a consistent basis and on a timely basis.
Acts as a change agent by leading change and helping others to understand and implement change to ensure business objectives are met.
Performs other job-related duties as requested to ensure sales goals and objectives are met.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience preferred.
5+ years healthcare sales experience preferred, preferably in the Extended Care market (Long term Care, HME/DME, Rehab, Homecare, etc.)
Understanding of the Extended Care Markets including but not limited to: Long-term care, Home Care, Home Health and Hospice, Rehabilitation, Long term Acute Care Hospitals, Assisted Living, and others preferred.
Strong leadership and people management skills
Proven experience of successful customer retention and high customer satisfaction ratings
Ability to motivate and manage a geographically dispersed labor force.
Passion for developing talent.
Ability and willingness to travel 50% of time within Midwest region.
Excellent planning, forecasting, negotiation, and presentation skills
